This original Black Forest cuckoo clock shows a man in lederhosen sitting in front of his house enjoying a beer. His huge St. Bernard keeps him company. The house is a typical Black Forest house,  surrounded by trees, with a hipped roof, water wheel and pretty windows decorated with flowers, curtains and green shutters. The surroundings of the house are richly decorated with real materials from nature such as stones, lichen and wood. On the side, a bench invites you to rest. The cuckoo calls the number of hours on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and once on the half hour. The beer drinker raises his glass. After the cuckoo call, one of the two melodies sounds every half hour. To the music, the water wheel and the dancers dressed in traditional costumes on the balcony start moving. This model has a manual night shut-off. The dial and hands are also made of wood. The mech.anical rake striking mechanism runs for 24 hours.
