This beautifully carved bird design is a classic among  the original Black Forest Cuckoo Clocks. The delicate glossy pearl white finish gives it modern elegance. In the middle, a cuckoo bird is ready to take flight. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 8 days. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that had its beginning in a farmhouse in 1848, and has grown to be one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the area.
