CUCKOO CLOCK - BLACK FOREST HOUSE

This idyllic half-timbered Black Forest house has a hipped roof with wooden shingles on which is a bell tower. The front of the house is decorated by romantic windows with red heart shutters and a carved balcony. The half-timbered windows are made of plexiglass and provide a view into the interior of the cuckoo clock, where the mechanical clockwork can be seen. In front of the house a wood chopper is doing his work and next to him is his faithful dog. From the left a horse-drawn carriage arrives on which new barrels are delivered. To the right and left of the house are fir trees and a small bench. The rose courtyard is adorned by carved red roses under the roof as well as above the weights. 

The wooden cuckoo calls the number of hours on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and once on the half hour. At the same time the woodcutter swings his axe. After the cuckoo call, one of the two melodies sounds every hour. To this, the couples in Black Forest costumes dance on the carved balcony.

This model has a manual night shut-off. The dial, numerals and hands are also made of wood. The mechanical rake striking mechanism runs for 8 days. The cuckoo clock comes in the original box with instructions and VDS certificate.

This traditional Black Forest clock is manufactured by the company Hekas in Schonach, which was founded by Helmut Kammerer already in 1938 and stands for "tradition in perfection" in the 3rd generation.
