Beer, that golden elixer, is what is keeps this lonely man company on this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. He sits alone in the pine tree garden and enjoys the peace and quiet. The wood case is stained in walnut and decorated with colorful handpainting. The carved hip roof puts a beautiful finish to the clock. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour, during which the beer drinker raises his glass. After the cuckoo calls on the full hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. During the music, the water wheel turns and the folklore dance figurines turn to the music on the balcony. This model has a manual night-switch off. Clockface, numbers and clock hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that started on a farm in 1848 and has developed into one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the Black Forest.
