"Helping the neighbors" is the theme of this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock, a farmhouse with shingled hip roof, dormer window and bell tower. The farmhouse is surrounded with a fenced-in pine garden. The wood case is stained in light-brown with dark ornamental features and a porch roof. The house is decorated with miniature windows with curtains and shutters. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour.   After the Cuckoo calls on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. While the music plays, the neighbors team up to saw through the log, while the waterwheel and the folklore dance figurines  turn to the music. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has an automatic night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. This cuckoo clock masterpiece is crafted by the Hönes company in Titisee, a family business deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry, and is well known for its high-quality Black Forest craftmanship.
