This charming Black Forest house with hipped roof, bell tower, fountain and a magnificent mill wheel shows a peaceful scenery: on the right you can see a goat next to a shepherd boy. He lovingly holds a small, newborn baby goat in his arms. On the other side, a young bambi rests. This rustic cuckoo clock uses real natural materials such as stones, moss, lichen and twigs with bark for decoration. Beautiful wooden decorations on the gable, green shutters, wooden milk jugs and carved trees complete the picture.
The cuckoo, made of wood, calls the number of hours on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and once on the half hour.  After the call, one of the two melodies sounds on the hour, to which four dancing couples on the balcony turn in a circle, and the large mill wheel also turns. This model has an automatic night shut-off. The dial, numerals and hands are also made of wood. The mechanical rake striking mechanism runs for a week. This piece of nature is manufactured by the company August Schwer in Schönwald, an owner-operated family business that was founded in 1885.
