On this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock, both owls and birds are featured, but unusually handcrafted with handcarving and handpainting, to provide a very light-colored appearance. The owls are perched above and to one side of the clock face, and a mother bird sits among the oak leaves on the left side and watches over her young, who are sitting in the nest below the clock face, among the oak leaves. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour.  The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions and a VdS certificate. This beautiful cuckoo clock design is crafted by the Hönes company in Titisee, a family business deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry, and is well known for its high-quality Black Forest craftmanship.
