A traditional hunter scene is depicted on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. The clock face of this wood case is framed by deep carvings of oak leaves and hunter utensils such as hunter bag, horn, and wild prey hanging on both sides. The crossed rifles decorate the roof and the stag head juts out in the middle like a trophy. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. This cuckoo clock masterpiece is crafted by the Hönes company in Titisee, a family business deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry, and is well known for its high-quality Black Forest craftmanship.
