This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is an elaborately handcarved filigree of maple leaves. This beautifully detail-carved clock is made of solid lime tree wood stained in walnut. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour.  After the Cuckoo calls on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. While the music plays, the folklore dance figurines on the balcony  turn to the music. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has an automatic night switch off between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This cuckoo clock masterpiece is crafted by the Hönes company in Titisee, a family business deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry, and is well known for its high-quality Black Forest craftmanship.
