This chalet in harmonious brown tones shows woodchopper Xaver in action. The wooden cart next to him is already filled with firewood. The typical Black Forest scene shows two deer grazing on the left side. Next to these is a fence with a handcart and a fenced-in water wheel. The Saint Bernard dog smiles happily. The figures are framed by carved fir trees. Under the beautifully curved roof covered with brown shingles, the dancing couples in Black Forest costume turn to the music, at the same time Xaver can be seen chopping wood and the water wheel is turning. Further loving details are the small carved birds on the balcony and the carving with the fir cone at the base of the cuckoo clock. At the full hour the cuckoo tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies plays. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running.

This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that uses three 1,5V batteries - Size C. The clock is delivered in an original box with complete instructions. This cuckoo clock is crafted by the Trenkle company in Simonswald, a family business that has been around for the last 50 years, and prides itself in combining the traditional handcrafting with new technical developments.
