"Schwarzwaldbahn" (Black Forest Railroad) is written on the sign, which is attached to this pretty Black Forest house under the cuckoo door. This cuckoo clock shows a scene typical for the Black Forest. Under the roof the little train is running in circles to the music. On the right side a small flock of sheep is grazing, green fir trees and red flying mushrooms complete this beautiful scene. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that uses three 1,5V batteries - Size C. The clock is delivered in an original box with complete instructions and is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
