This kind of house is typical for the Black Forest. A beautiful half-timbered facade can be seen under the hipped roof covered with red shingles. The cuckoo door opens between the pretty windows. In front of the brown wooden facade with a depicted stone wall made of light wood, a deer grazes next to a green fir tree. On the right side a wooden cross can be seen. Even today this special kind of cross is widespread throughout the Black Forest. At the full hour the cuckoo tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies plays. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running.

This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that uses three 1,5V batteries - Size C. The clock is delivered in an original box with complete instructions. This cuckoo clock is crafted by the Trenkle company in Simonswald, a family business that has been around for the last 50 years, and prides itself in combining the traditional handcrafting with new technical developments.
