Beautifully crafted filigree woodworking is a special feature of this chalet house with a bavarian beer drinker in front. The artfully crafted half-timbered tudor housefront is a beautiful contrast to the deep walnut stain of the rest of the chalet. The chalet roof is handcrafted with individual wooden shingles, and the thick, handcrafted base is decorated with many loving detailsa, such as painted and carved pine trees, a water wheel,a wooden bench, a covered terrace, and the traditional bavarian beer drinker with his faithful dog. Under the base, there is an extra handcarved wooden element which completes the beautiful picture. To the left and right of the dancing figurines on the balcony, wonderfully crafted doors in natural wood are adorned with carved cuckoo birds. On the house front to each side of the clockface, miniature lattice windows with red shutters and painted flower beds.  The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, and tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played.   The water wheel also moves to the music, while the beer drinker lifts his glass to drink, the little children figurines dance to the music on the balcony.  On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on three 1,5V batteries - Size C (delivered with clock).  The Cuckoo Clock comes in an original box with complete instructions.This Woodchopper Cuckoo Clock is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
