This Black Forest cuckoo clock radiates a closeness to nature. Bruno the hard-working woodcutter stands in front of his house with its shingle roof and mullioned windows lovingly decorated with little hearts. The deer are no longer afraid of Bruno and keep him company.

The Trenkle family business in Simonswald combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. The new KuckuShine models from Trenkle set new standards for Black Forest clocks. The clocks have an illuminated front which is activated by the cuckoo call. On the hour, the cuckoo opens the door, chirps and calls out the hour with an echo, followed by one of 12 melodies. A light sensor automatically switches off the sound in the dark while the time continues to run. The clock face and hands are made of wood and the clock is powered by a battery-operated quartz movement. The cuckoo clock is supplied with batteries and operating instructions in the original box.
