Let the clock strike the hour, count the number of strikes, take out the hour and minute hands and put them back on at the called time and set the correct time from here. Note that with quartz watches, the minute hand may only be turned clockwise – and not counterclockwise.
Possible problem:
The chain has come off the gear.
Possible solution:
Remove pendulum and weights. Open the back of the clock and secure the chains by taping them in place so that they cannot fall off the gears. Turn the clock upside down and thread the broken chain back onto the gear.

Possible problem:
Pendulum is not yet fully regulated.
Possible solution:
Move pendulum up.
Possible problem:
Pendulum is not yet fully regulated.
Possible solution:
Move pendulum down.
Possible problem:
Clock movement is not hanging straight on the wall .
Possible solution:
Adjust the clock on the wall by tilting slightly to the right or left so that the ticking sound is even.

For a cuckoo clock with manual night switch off :
Possible problems:
1) The night switch off is switched on.
2) The wire on the cuckoo door was not removed.
3)The transport clips on the cuckoo pipes inside the clock movement have not been removed.
4) The cuckoo tail is under the wire.
5) The chain has come off the gear.
Possible solutions:
1) Deactivate the night switch off on the side of the clock.
2) Remove the wire for locking the cuckoo door.
3) Open the back of the clock and remove the transport lock (clips) on the cuckoo pipes.
4) Open the back of the clock and place the tail of the cuckoo over the wire.
5) Remove pendulum and weights. Open the back of the clock and secure the chains by taping them in place so that they cannot fall off the gears. Turn the clock upside down and thread the broken chain back onto the gear.

For a cuckoo clock with automatic night switch off (this applies to all cuckoo clocks with quartz movement (batteries) and some very high-quality mechanical cuckoo clocks):
Possible problems:
1) The night switch off is switched on.
2) The wire on the cuckoo door was not removed.
3) The transport lock on the bellows has not been removed.
4) The cuckoo tail is under the wire.
5) The chain has come off the gear
Possible solutions:
1) Deactivate the night switch off on the side of the clock.
2) Remove the wire for locking the cuckoo door.
3) Open the back of the clock and remove the transport lock (clips) on the cuckoo pipes.
4) Open the back of the clock and place the tail of the cuckoo over the wire.
5) Remove pendulum and weights. Open the back of the clock and secure the chains by taping them in place so that they cannot fall off the gears. Turn the clock upside down and thread the broken chain back onto the gear.

Possible problem:
Hour hand (small hand) is displaced.
Possible solution:
Turn the minute hand (large hand in front) slowly to the hour, counting the number of times the cuckoo calls. Loosen the hour hand (small hand) by carefully pulling forward with your fingers. Then move the hour hand (small hand) to the correct hour to match the number of the cuckoo call, and push the hour hand at the base with both thumbs to make sure it is tightly in place

Possible problems:
1) The clock is not hanging flush against the wall (slightly tipped outward)
2) The cuckoo tail is over the wire inside the movement
Possible solution:
1) Open the back of the clock and place the tail of the cuckoo over the wire.
2) Turn the minute hand to 6 or 12 and pull the second chain down from the left.
Possible problems:
1) The chain has come off the gear.
2) The music propeller is not activated.
Possible solutions:
1) Remove pendulum and weights. Open the back of the clock and secure the chains by taping them in place so that they cannot fall off the gears. Turn the clock upside down and thread the broken chain back onto the gear.
2) Open the back of the clock. Turn the minute hand clockwise to 12 and let the cuckoo call. During the cuckoo call, two wires move down in the clock case on the right. Make sure the top wire has moved down enough to trigger the music mechanism by pressing the brass arm underneath. If this is not the case, please carefully bend the wire down a little.
After the last cuckoo call, the wires should snap up again and set the music propeller in motion. Make sure the bottom wire doesn't block the propeller. If this is the case, please carefully bend the wire slightly upwards.

Possible problem:
The hook does not reach into the music roller
Possible solution:
Open the back of the clock. Turn the minute hand clockwise to 12 and let the cuckoo call. During the cuckoo call, two wires in the clock case on the right move down and trigger the music mechanism. The music roller turns. There is a small hole at the head of the roller into which the brass hook should reach after playing the music. If this hook is slightly bent, it no longer grips and the roller continues to rotate. Please carefully bend the hook so that it reaches into the hole again.
Possible solution:
Check to see if the screw has been turned in the wrong direction, or check to see if the pendulum disk is not moving.
The spring in the pendulum disk is stuck, and therefore the disk does not move when the screw is adjusted. Move pendulum disk back and forth to loosen the spring.
Possible problem:
Hour hand (small hand) is displaced.
Possible solution:
Allow the clock to “strike” the hour, counting the number of times the clock strikes (calls). CAREFULLY move the hour hand (small hand) to the correct hour, and then push the hour hand at the base with both thumbs to make sure it is tightly in place. Move the minute hand (long hand) to the correct minute if needed.
Possible explanation:
A technical function in the clockwork is preparing the next clock striking function. This is a normal function and not a defect.
Possible problem:
The minute hand was not installed correctly on the clock face.
Possible solution:
Allow the clock to strike the hour and then stop the pendulum swing. Using flat-nosed pliers, loosen the screw on top of the hands, along with any other accompanying disklets, noting how they were assembled. If the minute hand (long hand) is not riveted to the square rod, adjust the minute hand, replace the screw, and test to see if the time is now correct. If the minute hand is riveted to the square rod, adjust the square rod with the flat-nosed pliers to adjust the minute hand, and then replace the screw, and test to check time. Repeat this step with PATIENCE, until the correct position is found.
Possible Problem:
Intermediate clockwork part connection between the pendulum and the clockwork is not hooked up correctly.
Possible solution:
Possible problem:
The wire is on the music propeller.
Possible solution:
Open the back of the clock. Turn the minute hand clockwise to 12 and let the cuckoo call. During the cuckoo call, two wires move down in the clock case on the right. The top wire triggers the music mechanism by pressing the brass arm underneath. After the last cuckoo call, the lower wire did not move up far enough so that it now touches / obstructs the music propeller. Please bend the wire gently upwards so that the propeller can turn freely.
Possible problem:
Not enough space between the gong spring and the hammer.
Possible solution:
Open the back of the clock and push the hammer head of the gong hammer back (in the direction of the clockwork) about 1 mm. If the gong spiral is laying too close to the back, carefully pull it out a small amount.
Count the number of cuckoo calls, carefully remove the minute hand and replace it pointing to 12. Set the correct time from here and check at the next full hour whether the minute hand is now correctly inserted. Note that with quartz watches, the minute hand may only be turned clockwise – and not counterclockwise.
On our page “Delivery time and shipping costs” you can find out the exact delivery times. If you would like to have your order delivered earlier, or if you would like a delivery date, please contact us (service@1000uhren.com).
Put a clock in the shopping cart and click the “checkout” button there. Then you will get a selection list of countries to which we deliver. If you want your order to be delivered to another country, please contact us (service@1000uhren.com).
In many other (cuckoo clock) online stores, shipping is free or a flat rate is charged. But for this, the clocks are also offered at a sometimes much higher price. WE offer our clocks at a fair price and charge the actual shipping costs. These consist of the postage prices we have to pay to the external companies (e.g. DHL) for shipping to the respective country of delivery and the personnel and material costs incurred by the special securing and packing of the clocks to prevent transport damage.
