This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is a uniquely special depiction of the classic bird design, with beautifully handcarved pine tree branches, which provide a comfortable home for the bird couple. The clock is left in its natural wood color, which provides a wonderful contrast to the traditional dark "pine cone" weights. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions, as well as a VdS certificate. This classic model is crafted by the August Schwer company in Schönwald, a family business that has been around since 1885.
