"Cheers to our Friendship" is what these two neighbors call out on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with shingled hip roof with two dormer windows. The friends are sitting together in the garden in front of the house, where you also see a water trough and a pine tree. The St. Bernhard dog with her puppies is resting at their feet. The wood case is primarily stained in white and partially decorated with half-timbered framework, with many small details such as the miniature windows with green shutters and flower boxes. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo calls on the full hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. During the music, the friends lift their beer glasses to drink, the folklore dance figurines turn to the music on the balcony, and the water wheel turns. This model has an automatic night-switch off. Clockface, numbers and clock hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that started on a farm in 1848 and has developed into one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the Black Forest.
