The folklore brass band plays and the Black Forest folklore dancers swing to the music right in the middle of the beer garden at the "Gasthaus zum Bären"! The men in bavarian folklore costume cheer them on by lifting their beer glasses from their seat of honor. The Black Forest House has a massive hip roof with carved shingle impressions, bell tower and zwei corner windows. Underneath the hip roof are beautifully handcarved branches and leaves. The solid wood casing is in the classic walnut stain, and is lovingly decorated with little lattice windows adorned with little red heart shutters and flower boxes. Huge carved and handpainted pine trees frame the back of the house. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo call on the full hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays, the folklore dance figurines turn to the music on the balcony, and the beautifully carved figurines dance around the beer garden tree. This clock has both a manual and an automatic night switch off. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. This Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is delivered in an original box with complete instructions, as well as a VDS-Certificate. This special clock is crafted by the Hekas company in Schonach, a family business that was founded in 1938 by Helmut Kammerer, and in the 3rd generation still stands for its original motto: "Tradition with perfection".
