A bavarian beer pub with alpine horn players is depicted on this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with shingled chalet roof. The wood case is richly decorated with rounded roman lattice windows with little heart shutters and flowers, with carved wooden Edelweis blossoms, a wagon wheel and a stone wall depicted on the wooden housefront. In front of the house, a beer pub is depicted with the young woman serving beer, a guest enjoying his beer, and an accordion player, who is playing along with the alpine horn blower. A water wheel with a water gully feeding into it completes the idylic picture. The cuckoo opens the door at the full hour, "tweets", and calls with Echo, telling the number of the hour. After the cuckoo call, one of the 12 alternating melodies plays. During the music, the waitress makes a round through the beer pub and the water wheel moves to the music. The clock has a manual night switch off on the side, and also a light sensor to automatically turn off the cuckoo and music sound when it is dark. The Quartz battery clockwork is run by three 1,5V Size C batteries that are delivered with the block. The cuckoo clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This clock model is produced by the Trenkle company in Simonswald, a family business that has been around for the last 50 years, and prides itself in combining the traditional handcrafting with new technical developments.
