A roaring stag is depicted on this original, handcarved Cuckoo Clock from the Black Forest. This is a real eye-catcher, with all of the solid detail-carved pine tree branches with pine cones hanging from them. On the top piece the roaring stag is enthroned, with his beautifully carved antlers, and an owl couple sits below the clockface amidst the pine tree branches. The solid-wood cuckoo bird calls on the full hour with the number of the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and calls once on the half-hour. This clock model has a manual night-switch-off. Clockface, numbers and Clock hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The cuckoo clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This beautifully carved hunter design is produced by the Hönes company in Titisee, which is deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry and stands for Black Forest quality craftsmanship.
