A wood chopper at work is seen on this cuckoo clock with a solid carved hipped roof from the Black Forest. The walnut-stained wooden case is decorated with light balconies, round-arched windows with wooden mullions, curtains and brown heart shutters. In front of the house there is a well and a grinding stone for the axe. The dog watches his master at work.  
The cuckoo, made of wood, calls the number of hours on the hour (for example, at 15:00 3 times) and once on the half hour. At the same time the wood chopper chops its beenn wood. This model has a manual night shut-off. Dial, numerals and hands are also made of wood. The mechanical rake striking mechanism runs for one week.
This Black Forest cuckoo clock is delivered by the company Hekas in Schonach, which was already founded in 1938 by Helmut Kammerer and stands for "tradition in perfection" in the 3rd generation.
