This magnificent cuckoo clock shows a stately Black Forest farmhouse with a shingled roof, curtains and green-painted shutters adorn the windows. The eye-catcher of this cuckoo clock is the moving band of musicians. The individual musicians turn on the spot to the right and left. Another moving element is the female bell ringer on the left side of the clock.

The wooden cuckoo calls the number of the hour on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3:00 p.m.) and once on the half-hour. The dial, numbers and hands are made of wood, as are the entire house and figures. The mechanical clockwork has a running time of one week. This model has an automatic night switch-off.

This original Black Forest cuckoo clock is produced by the August Schwer company in Schönwald, an owner-managed family business that was founded in 1885.
