This unusual sign clock features a painted Black Forest woman with traditional bollenut against a delicate green and white tiled background. The wooden weights, the pendulum disc and the stag's head are kept in black and form a nice contrast to the colored clock plate.
The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps and calls out the number of hours with an echo. Then one of the 12 different melodies sounds. On the side is a switch to turn off the music separately or together with the cuckoo. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound in the dark, but the time continues to run. The dial and hands are made of wood.
This clock is powered by a battery operated quartz movement that requires three 1.5V size C batteries. The cuckoo clock comes in its original box with instructions.
